Spotify users can now check out their annual Wrapped 2022 playlist, and here's how.

Music lovers eagerly anticipate Spotify Wrapped every year to receive a summary of their listening data. The digital feature lets users showcase their unique musical taste to other listeners. Read on to learn how to access your Spotify Wrapped results and more.

What is Spotify Wrapped?

According to Android Authority, Spotify has been delivering its subscribers a breakdown of the year's top songs and podcasts called Spotify Wrapped every December since 2016. This summary includes data from January 1 through October 31.

Spotify will showcase your listening activity through Spotify Wrapped cards, which are visuals that summarize the songs, artists, genres, and podcasts that users have most frequently listened to over the course of the year, allowing users to discover more about their listening history. 

Users can learn more about their listening history through ornate visualizations called "cards." Spotify Wrapped cards show the songs, artists, genres, and podcasts most listened to during the year. Users are encouraged to share their cards with friends and followers on social media.

How to Access Your Spotify Wrapped 2022

Spotify Wrapped is available for anyone with an account, regardless if they are subscribed to the app or a free user. This Spotify Wrapped feature, however, is only accessible on the mobile app, according to Billboard.

Users can check out their personalized Spotify Wrapped through this link spotify.com/wrapped, where they will be prompted to download the app or redirected if they already have it.

Once logged in on the mobile app, your personalized results will appear with the message "Your 2022 Wrapped is here" on the Spotify app home screen.

Users are encouraged to post their cards on social media with their friends and followers through a prompt on each card. These are available as shareable cards on TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Snapchat.

Spotify Wrapped 2022 New Features: Music Personality, Audio Day

This year's Spotify Wrapped summary comes with a new feature, namely the Music Personality, which categorizes users with a personality type similar to the Myers-Briggs-style personality test using four-letter codes.

Each Personality is represented with its own colorful card alongside a description of each Personality. According to the Spotify Newsroom, the Music Personality feature consists of 16 categories, namely:

  • The Adventurer
  • The Early Adopter
  • The Deep Diver
  • The Devotee
  • The Replayer
  • The Connoisseur
  • The Maverick
  • The Fan Clubber
  • The Top Charter
  • The Enthusiast
  • The Time Traveler
  • The Musicologist
  • The Nomad
  • The Voyager
  • The Jukeboxer
  • The Specialist

With the new Audio Day feature, this year's version also tracks how users' listening habits change throughout the course of the day by breaking down the genres of music that are streamed in the morning, noon, and evening. Additionally, Spotify also includes messages from select artists, such as Taylor Swift, with a message of gratitude for fans.
