Nvidia RTX 4070 Ti AD104 Chip Leaks: Predicted Specs, Release Date, More

Online leaks give tech enthusiasts a glimpse of the upcoming Nvidia Rtx 4070 Ti's chip.

Nvidia's has yet to disclose details of the upcoming Rtx 4070 Ti. However, online leaks have been circulating, claiming that the 4070 series will benefit from higher power limits than its predecessors.

However, one of the latest leaks shows a glimpse of the Rtx 4070 Ti's chip, which is said to be an AD104 Chip.

According to Dexerto, Nvidia's RTX 4070 will have a high chance of using an AD104 Chip. Interestingly, Twitter leaker @Zed__Wang posted an image of the alleged first look at the chip that will be powering the upcoming graphics card.

While users should still take this new detail with a grain of salt without any confirmation from Nvidia, Playcon reports that Zed Wang, AKA MEGAsizedGPU, has already shared leaks in the past regarding the RTX 3060 8GB, RTX 3060 Ti with GDDR6X, and RTX 3070 Ti.

If the online leaks turn out to be accurate, even though the AD104 Chip has a smaller die than the RTX 4090, which is less than half its size, it will still be more powerful than earlier graphics cards.

According to HotHardware, the AD104 is a third-tier chip in the Ada Lovelace family of chips. The bigger AD103 CPU serves as the foundation for the GeForce RTX 4080. However, while only a small number of ultra-high-end gaming laptops currently use AD103, the vast majority of premium gaming laptops are expected to have GPUs based on AD104.

While tech fans can anticipate a slightly slimmed-down version being utilized in lower-end cards and over on mobile devices, the full-fat AD104 chip is likely to be in the RTX 4070 Ti.

According to Dexerto, alleged specifications regarding NVIDIA's new GPU, the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti, have been revealed that show similarities to the RTX 3090 Ti when it comes to its performance.

Additionally, a release date with some of the key features of the RTX 4070 has been leaked by Zed Wang in a past tweet, revealing that the GPU may be available in Jan. 2023.

Interestingly, Nvidia announced an event on Jan. 3, according to WCCFTech, where tech fans speculate the tech giant will potentially launch the RTX 4070 Ti as a new product.
