The latest information behind the Apple Car comes from Mark Gurman via Bloomberg, centering on a speculated release date of 2026.

The initial leaks for its release date center on a 2024 to 2028 timeline, but Gurman claims that Apple will no longer prioritize a fully-autonomous driving feature for its upcoming EV to fast-track its availability in the market.

Apple Car's latest information is that it will now feature a steering wheel for manual control, one that would mostly focus on city driving. The report claimed that it would take the vehicle controls when driving on the freeway and offer multiple entertainment features for drivers to utilize when switching to its self-driving, then alert the driver when nearing the city for their takeover.

The Soon-Releasing Apple Car's Price Will Be under $100k

According to 9to5 Mac, the Apple Car's price will be lower than expected, initially at around $120,000, and now focuses on releasing the EV at around $100,000 or less. This new price comes after Apple's new focus to feature less autonomy in the vehicle to fast-track its availability to the market.

Not only that, the company aims to deliver a custom-made Silicon chip to power the vehicle, one that is equal to four of Cupertino's high-end processors intended for the Apple Car.

Apple Car and Cupertino's Plans for the EV

Leaks and insiders were fast to dig for information behind Apple's prominent electric vehicle project which saw its initial rumors back in 2015, with initial talks centering on Cupertino buying Tesla for its project. However, it did not see a deal that led to its purchase and these leaks did not hit the mark, but the alleged "project" rumors stuck until now regarding its vehicle plans.

The rumored "Project Titan" had many speculated release dates for the vehicle, with one centering on 2019, then changing to 2021, later changing to 2024, and some insiders drafting up a timeline to 2028.

As a project from Apple's R&D, it still has an unclear future and speculations for its release date, but insiders followed the development of the electric vehicle from the company, with many discoveries in its development.

Several engineers from Tesla jumped boat over to Apple to work on Project Titan, but some left Cupertino's development of the vehicle.

With Apple having different former executives from other car companies, Project Titan is a coalition of brilliant minds and leaders working on the electric vehicle venture which it aims to release by 2026. It remains an unconfirmed project which is typical of Apple to keep under wraps, but it will soon be available at a sub $100,000 price tag and many entertainment features for its users.
