It is not yet the New Year, but massive leaks regarding Apple's plans for next year's latest computers were revealed earlier today, allegedly coming soon by early in the coming calendar. There are massive speculations for its upcoming releases of the Mac lineup, particularly with the MacBook Pro that will soon get its upgrade with the "M2 Extreme" chip, and an iMac with M3 coming later in 2023.

This leak still signifies a massive wave of releases from the company, centering on the future of its Silicon chips that focus on their self-made tech to power their computers.

Bloomberg's Mark Gurman has massive speculations for the MacBook Pro for next year, one that would release in early 2023 and debuting a more powerful version of the M2 Silicon. This new release will center on the M1 Ultra's counterpart for its current generation chip, centering on the "M2 Extreme," as per the Apple analyst.

The MacBook Pro 13-inch version upgraded to the M2 chip this year after the company announced its MacBook Air's upgraded processor.

This upcoming upgrade is Apple's compensation for missing its "self-imposed deadline" for the 2022's MacBook Pro, especially as the one with the new notch and bigger screen sizes did not see any releases for this year.

iMac with M3 Coming Later Next Year

Additionally, according to the analyst (via MacRumors), the real star of next year's release is the shift to the next-generation Apple Silicon, the M3. Its main focus would not be on Apple's laptop computers, but on the iMac that will deliver the latest ARM-based processors from the company, debuting a new technology for the public to experience.

Apple and its Mac Lineup

Undoubtedly, Apple had a massive year in 2022 for its technology and releases with devices like the iPhone 14 that featured the latest pill notch called the "Dynamic Island," but not so much for its Mac.

While the Big Tech company released its much-awaited MacBook Air with the M2 chip, known as the successor to its M-series Silicon processors, some regarded it to have not many differences from the M1. TSMC is still Apple's manufacturer of the famed ARM-based Silicon parts, with the company delivering the needs from Cupertino to power its laptop.

Despite the rumors of using the M2 for multiple Mac releases, the famed Apple analysts still claimed that the iMacs would have the new chip by 2023. More particularly, Ming-Chi Kuo claimed that the M2 would arrive for the upcoming revamp of the previously canceled PC, the iMac Pro for next year, one that would bring the current chip's powers to the professional desktop computer.

Apple is best known for its yearly update of the many technology and devices it debuts to the public, with massive expectations already in place for its next showcase.

Still, Kuo and Gurman's speculation is different for the 2023 releases from Apple, but it both centered on the iMac getting a new chip, one that is currently using the M1. The MacBook Pro released an M2 version this year, but it did not upgrade the 14-inch and 16-inch versions that still uses the M1 Pro and M1 Max chips from 2021-soon up for a processor change.
