Nio Day 2022 New Models Announcement

According to Bloomberg, Nio Day was first conducted in 2017 and is aimed at promoting brand loyalty and a sense of community among the automaker's corporate partners, clients, and media. Despite an increase in Covid cases in China, the gala attracted almost 4,000 participants from all over the nation.

On Saturday, Nio also unveiled its most recent line of battery swapping stations, which let drivers easily swap out their old batteries for new ones rather than charging them. Each of the improved stations may hold up to 21 replacement cells and supports a maximum of 408 swaps each day.

Additionally, the business showcased its new power-swapping pilot for highways, which is a feature wherein the driver can stay inside the electric vehicle and let the car decide how to automatically plan the route for changing batteries, driving via intelligent navigation to the closest power swap stations, performing the swap, and then exiting the service area and returning to the highway.

NIO ES8, EC7 EV: What We Know So Far

The NIO EC7's design goes above and beyond, as the mid-sized flagship coupe SUV retains NIO's high-performance genes, as seen by the second-generation, high-efficiency electric drive architecture, and comes equipped with adaptive air suspension.

Marketscreener reports that the combination of a 180 kW high-efficiency permanent magnet motor with a 300 kW high-performance induction motor produces quick, powerful while maintaining power continuity and minimal energy consumption. The EC7 accelerates from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in under 3.8 seconds and comes to a complete stop from 100 kilometers per hour in 33.9 meters.

Meanwhile, the all-new ES8 reportedly speeds from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.1 seconds and has two motors with a combined maximum power of 480 kW. The seating arrangement is unique, with "four executive seats and one flexible third row", according to Yahoo.

The EC7 becomes the SUV with the lowest drag coefficient in the world, with a drag coefficient as low as 0.230cd. The rear wing offers control and drag reduction choices, giving downforce and drag reduction, respectively.

Its third-generation flexible electrochromic (EC) technology offers five levels of programmable transmittance that can be adjusted to either completely preserve privacy when required or let natural light stream into the automobile with extreme transparency.

The Nio EC7's starting price, $69,800, caters to customers who desire both larger space and sportier performance. Additionally, the starting price for the new ES8 is around $75,500. The beginning of deliveries is anticipated for May and June, respectively.
