The Xbox Series X has more in store for this year in its release of new games and optimization features.

Microsoft's Xbox Series X has already come a long way since its debut in the 2019 Game Awards, according to PC World. The video game console has become a platform for gamers all over the world to popular titles, including the Hellblade franchise, Call of Duty, and more.

For this year, it seems like Microsoft is not yet done with upgrading the console and reportedly has more in store.

Xbox Series X New Features

In an effort to be environmentally friendly and cut costs, Business Standard reports that Microsoft will introduce additional power modes options, such as shutdown or energy conservation, to Xbox Series X and S consoles.

Users' power settings will be updated to reduce power consumption when their consoles are turned off. Performance, gaming, or the ability of the console to get system, game, or app updates overnight won't be impacted.

In addition, the manufacturer stated that while the console is turned on, remote features are supported, but the remote wake is not. Users can change their settings whenever they want, deciding what suits them the best.
