Audi Activesphere EV Concept: Hybrid Coupe, Pickup, in One Body—What Does it Bring?

Audi has a new series of concept cars that center on different focuses, with names having the "-sphere" suffix, and the latest reveal is the "Activesphere." It is an electric vehicle, and it features a crossover or hybrid body that shows its coupe design, but can also bring a smaller version of a pickup truck's bed on its rear.

The Audi Activesphere is the fourth of the "Sphere" series from the German luxury car manufacturer, and this vehicle debuts both a city and off-road car for all needs.

The Audi 'activesphere' EV concept gave the world new information on what it aims to bring to the public, and one of the most iconic things here is its body, which may double as a lifted coupe or a small pickup. Still, the company aims to achieve clean energy mobility for this series, one that would deliver different needs and requirements without worries of polluting the Earth.

Apart from its variable body that can transform its coupe trunk into a rather small pickup truck bed, the vehicle is also capable of off-road. According to Audi, the vehicle packs in the Quattro electric drive, which outputs 409 horsepower and 531 lb. ft. of torque.

It also delivers a 100kWh battery pack, which Audi claimed on its release, that can bring as much as 373 miles of range on a single charge.

Audi Activesphere and its Features Available

Another stunning feature of the activesphere is that it has a special interior, one that lost almost all of its physical screens, including the gauges and clusters. The steering wheel is also gone, as per Audi's concept photos, and would center on a fully-autonomous drive.

According to Audi, it will feature its floating display via a mixed-reality headset that will center on AR and VR tech for its commands and information regarding the car. In short, the mixed-reality experience will bring all of the car's information, instead of the clusters.

Audi's Vehicles

Since early to mid-2022, the German car company, best known as Audi, has been teasing its Sphere concept cars to the world, and there were even claims that it is coming sometime this 2023 for all to see. It is a collection of clean energy vehicles, and it centers on delivering different designs on cars, centering on Audi's meta concept that revolves on "spheres."

The company is also expanding its electric vehicle fleet, particularly with the Audi A6 Avant e-Tron that recently unveiled to the public last year. And the company believes that this was the start of the e-Tron's expansion to more models in its lineup, to bring more of the Audi engineering, design, and expertise to modern EVs.

Audi has a collection of electric vehicles available to all, and the company has it under the e-Tron lineup, but that seems to have new ones under the "Sphere" concept. The company is not yet in the series production era of the Audi "Sphere" concept vehicles, but it also said that the said lineup may soon see its creation.
