YouTube added a new feature for its users on the smartphone, and it centers on "Go Live Together," which will allow collaborators to work together on projects. It delivers a new way to connect and add people doing a live stream, sharing their content with the world together, and showcasing what they have in store for the audience.

The famous Google streaming platform has been an avenue for live streams for a long time, and it centers on different events and festivities for the public.

YouTube Expands Collaboration with 'Go Live Together'

Team YouTube announced via its Twitter page that the company is now expanding its collaborations in the platform for Livestreams under the new feature called "Go Live Together." No, YouTube is not asking you to move into a home together but allows you to join a live stream with your peers or collaborator to appear in one showcase.

This feature allows people to co-stream live videos on the platform or add guests, and it is available directly to its smartphone app.

According to Google, YouTubers may also opt to schedule their live streams and invite guests beforehand, allowing them to synchronize their times to appear together.

The only requirement for this "Go Live Together" feature is 50 or more subscribers to enable the co-streaming function.

YouTube Live like Instagram's Livestream?

This feature is not a new thing anymore, as Meta's Instagram added this feature via its Stories feature for a long time now, with guests wanting to join may request appearing in the same live video together. Additionally, in 2021, Meta expanded its Stories Livestream feature to add up to three more collaborators in a single stream.

This is similar to YouTube's feature now, as it centers on a vertical live video format on smartphones which centers on collaborations.

YouTube, an Online Content Hub

For the longest time now, YouTube has been a platform for multimedia content that includes creation from YouTubers, vloggers, artists, and aspiring stars to showcase their talent or life online. Starting last February, the streaming platform already started its creator monetization program for its vertical video format, Shorts.

The platform has been a user-generated hub since its early beginnings, where people share information to showcase to the world, made up of influencers, advertisers, the audience, and more.

The Google-owned platform also wants to center on users as much as possible and recently improved spam and bot detection to avoid any discrepancies in data, especially for massive names in the industry.

Apart from producing videos going big on the platform, YouTube also allows people to Livestream different events or random content from almost anyone with a registered account. This new feature aims to help open up avenues for collaboration and promoting similar views or ideals with this "Go Live Together" feature, now available for all.
