Google has an AI chatbot system already testing internally, and Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai confirmed this on the latest Q4 2022 earnings call of the company. This new chatbot will partner with the company's search engine to debut an assistant for its future use, one that also rivals the famous ChatGPT tool from OpenAI.

For now, Google is still gatekeeping the feature for the world as it aims to develop it further and be ready for when it is available, so it would avoid flopping among the public.

Alphabet recently finished its earnings call for investors for the Q4 2022 report, which detailed its performance last quarter, also tying up the entire year. Apart from its statistics and numbers from last quarter, Google head Sundar Pichai also confirmed a new project underway for its search engine, with an AI chatbot coming soon.

According to CNET, the internet company's AI developments are nearing its availability date for the public "in coming weeks and months."

One of Google's top competitors, ChatGPT, has already gained massive significance among the public, with many analysts claiming that this may lead to the company's downfall

The reports claim that this new AI chatbot will be called the "Apprentice Bard," Despite sounding like it is from a medieval fiction game, this will soon arrive for Google's services among the public. Particularly, Apprentice Bard will help Google's search engine with the different needs of people to use it, one that would answer the questions or streamline better results.

Google's AI Projects

Google is not shy about artificial intelligence creations, as it has a few projects on its portfolio and development to soon debut to the world.

One of them is the already available beta version of the LaMDA, the company's version of the chatbot, that is accessible via the AI Test Kitchen for all users interested in joining its initial operations.

There is also one AI tool called the "Imagen Video" which allows users to use its text prompts to get commands and use it to generate high-resolution videos. Google claimed that it could output videos with a 1280x768 resolution with up to 24 frames per second, centering on diffusion models to help create the content from user commands.

ChatGPT took the world by storm, and many predict that it could outsmart or defeat Google in the current technological world, which adds pressure to its projects.

However, this does not mean that Google is falling behind, as it has different AI tools under development, with one soon becoming available via its search for all.
