Tesla's recent live stream and the in-person event showcased the new Engineering HQ reveal for the company, which returns to its previous home of California. In this latest development, the company will center all of its engineering and developments over at Palo Alto, particularly in a new building that is formerly from HP.

The company said that its California operations grew to $5 billion in capital investment, as well as 47,000 direct employees in the state.

Tesla said that Engineering never left California, with its operations in the development and the creation of EVs centered in the state.

On the other hand, its Fremont factory which it previously acquired from General Motors and Toyota, will focus on 600,000 EV production for 2023.

Elon Musk Revealed Cybertruck in New HQ

Alongside its official reveal and induction of Palo Alto as its latest Engineering headquarters, the CEO and the team revealed the Cybertruck yet again to the attendees. Tesla and its Change of Homes

Tesla changed its homes in 2021, and it became one of the most controversial moves in the company's history as it left Silicon Valley and chose Austin to be the center of its operations. There are plenty of reasons for Tesla's move, but it focuses on the growing costs and high taxes on Tesla's California operations compared to what Texas offers.

One of the most iconic actions of Tesla was the assistance it delivered to the winter storm-hit Texas which resulted in power outages for days. The company's Powerwall and Solar Roof helped a lot in generating power for homes that already adopted it, also helping bring power to the grid to distribute to those in need.

The Fremont factory remained to produce cars for the company, but its main operations took place in Gigafactories, as well as its new corporate home in Austin. Now, there seems to be a change of heart for the company and its owner, especially in the latest Inflation Reduction Act which lowers costs, with the Engineering HQ over in California.
