  1. Check the battery and set up animations of the Apple AirPods on your iPhone. Original ones will display a pop-up menu if they're opened when connected to your iOS device. 
  2. You can check for defects. If you purchased an Apple Airpods, then you should see the following on the charging case and the earphones; LED status light, buttons at the back, a pairing button, and a Lightning port. 
  3. Use the Airpods' serial number on the Apple official website. If it is legitimate, its details should appear on the page. Then, the purchase date, warranty information, and model number should appear. 
  4. Check for an iPhone verification alert. If your iOS device already has the iOS 16, then it should be able to identify fake Airpods.
