A new era of mobile innovation will be unveiled by Samsung this year, as the company confirmed a Galaxy Unpacked this month. The South Korean tech giant has already teased its upcoming foldable smartphones in the market ahead of the event. 

The teaser mainly focused on the Galaxy Z Flip 5, the horizontal foldable device from the company, which hinted about its next design. There is also an expected outing of the Galaxy Z Fold 5 alongside the new Z Flip for this Galaxy Unpacked event, but Samsung's teaser only focused on the latter smartphone.

Samsung Galaxy Unpacked Coming This July to Debut Foldables

Samsung is inviting the world to join them on its global showcase via the Galaxy Unpacked event on July 26 at 7 a.m. ET and see the latest offers of the company. 

Its official tagline now says, "Join the flip side," which hinted that this event would focus on the new Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5, its next-gen horizontal flip foldable.

The South Korean tech giant is offering a $50 credit for those visiting its website and reserving a unit from its online store as part of its pre-order promotion for the new smartphone.

Previous teasers from the company talked about the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked and what to expect at the event, centering on its foldable smartphones that will soon be available to all.

What to Expect From the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked Event?

The biggest release is probably the Galaxy Z Flip 5, as the company featured this on their teaser, tagline, and hashtag, but there are still expectations that the Z Fold 5 is also coming to the public in this showcase.

The Z Flip 5 features a larger cover screen, an improved hinge and is expected to arrive with One UI 5, a redesigned body, better cameras, better battery life, and more.

Samsung Foldable Leaks, Rumors

Samsung is working on something massive for its foldable devices, and this is reportedly a change for the Z Flip 5's outer cover screen. In various claims and leaks, insiders said the cover screen would be bigger than the Oppo Find N2 Flip and the new Motorola Razr, with more interactions available.

Several Z Flip 5 phone case leaks also hint at a larger outer screen for the foldable. Both the Z Fold 5 and the Z Flip 5 will reportedly feature a dust-resistant hinge that would bring better protection to the phones. 

According to some reports and rumors, the company did not only improve its dust resistance rating but also its water resistance. It would also reportedly feature a flatter fold, making it more durable when folding and unfolding. 

Samsung is already preparing for one of its most massive showcases this year. The Galaxy Unpacked event will be streamed all over the world from Samsung's headquarters in Seoul, South Korea.
