The next Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event is scheduled on July 26, and it is widely known that its featured device is none other than the Galaxy Z Flip 5, the latest vertical foldable smartphone of the company.
Samsung only revealed the Flip 5 through its recent teaser showing what to expect from it, particularly its flat-folding capabilities. Massive advertisements and marketing from Samsung are now present for its next-gen vertical foldable device, but not much about its expected counterpart, the Z Fold 5.
Samsung Teases the Galaxy Z Flip 5's Flat Folding Hinges
Samsung could not keep it in any longer, as its official Twitter account posted the video teaser about its new Z Flip 5, joining the company on the "flip side" with its flat-folding hinge. As seen in the video, the new Flip 5 can do things that the former Z Flip 4 can do, and that is to completely close on its other half.
When the smartphone is folded shut, the gapless design makes it look better and more secure in preventing foreign materials from entering through the crevices and potentially damaging the screen. Because of its new hinges, it now has better waterproofing and dust proofing for its durability and safety.

Better Body, More Enjoyable Folding for the Z Flip
According to Tech Radar, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 is an iconic release as it takes foldable device usage to the next level, making it one ideal smartphone from Samsung.
For now, there is no news regarding the Z Fold 5's release, but since both always see the same release window, Samsung may be hiding the device well to catch the public off guard.
Samsung and its Galaxy Foldables
Earlier this month, Samsung finally revealed its first teaser for the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event. The public has already been waiting for the company's subsequent releases. This special event seems like a standalone event for its Galaxy Z Flip 5 and the Z Fold 5, the company's featured foldable devices.
However, it remains to be seen if the Z Fold 5 will also arrive. Unlike the past events from Samsung that announced both its foldable smartphones, the company has seemed to make this year's event only for Flip 5.
Besides the smartphone, Samsung also announced that it will soon bring the Galaxy Watch 6 and new tablets to join the release. There is much to expect from Samsung's upcoming releases this year.
This July, the company's event will introduce its latest foldable smartphone with an improved hinge. While the foldable's hinge folds perfectly flat, this is not all you can anticipate for the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5, as it will also feature a larger outer screen with improved performance and more.
