With the popularity of generative AI, Amazon doesn't want to miss out on the moment to build apps that can help enhance customers' experience.

As Seeking Alpha reported on Thursday, Aug. 3, Jassy shared during the latest earnings call that every division on Amazon is doing its best to come up with a new generative AI project.

According to Jassy, the company is looking forward to enhancing what it could offer to its customers.

"But while we will build a number of these applications ourselves, most will be built by other companies, and we're optimistic that the largest number of these will be built on [Amazon Web Services]. Remember, the core of AI is data. People want to bring generative AI models to the data, not the other way around," Jassy explained.

With the generative AI apps, AWS will likely hit its goal of improving the services for the customers, per The Verge's report.

The AWS CodeWhisperer system, a new AI-focused system will help the developers on their workflows by simply laying out suggestions for codes that are accessible in the code editor.

Jassy also anticipates that the e-commerce giant will continue to move forward as the organization learns how to use generative AI effectively in consumer-focused tasks.
