8BitDo Micro, the newest minuscule gamepad is now available for pre-orders. Should you buy it just for the hype or not?

Whenever we look at a good controller for your console, we consider the comfort and size it provides when we're gaming. Luckily, 8BitDo has pulled off a minuscule gamepad that can make or break it.

According to Engadget, this ultra-small controller contains 16 buttons which surprisingly are all clickable by any means. If you're familiar with the Zero gamepads, you're already halfway through the story.

With a 72 x 40.7 x 14.1 mm measurement, the 8BitDo Micro just slightly exceeds half of the classic NES controller. Just imagine looking at its buttons while playing an arcade-fighting game like "Street Fighter."

Astonishingly Good Features of 8BitDo Micro You Can't Imagine

Surprisingly, the "small, but terrible" phrase works well with 8BitDo Micro. It's very lightweight compared to other console controllers since it only weighs 24.8 grams. However, don't get fooled easily by the rest of its features.

If the other controllers don't last for at least 10 hours, the 8BitDo can, thanks to its 180mAh battery. All you have to do is to charge it in just one to two hours and there you have a fully-charged controller.

If you're bothered by the manual connecting and disconnecting of your controller to your console, you can just activate it in wired mode. It has a USB-C port to make this happen.

8BitDo Micro also contains buttons for triggers and even the four action buttons which are A, B, X, and Y. You might be wondering now how it happens, but it also houses the plus, minus, star, and checkered flag buttons on the other end.

If you're already bored of endlessly tapping it, you can incorporate it in keyboard mode. This means that it's compatible with iOs, Windows, and even macOS.

Outside gaming, this mini-controller can do colossal tasks you can't imagine including video and photo editing. It's amazing for its size given how limited its space.

8-BitDo Micro Controller Pre-Order

As of writing, pre-orders for the Micro Controller are now open on Amazon. It is scheduled to be released on Aug. 24 so you only have one week before you officially get your hands on it.

This ergonomically-built controller is perfect for nonstop 2D gaming so you can pair it with a Raspberry Pi, Android, or Nintendo Switch.

Switch users might be thinking if it will replace the Joy-Cons. Of course, these are two different controllers, but the former is still better when it comes to ease of use and comfort.

The 8BitDo Micro Bluetooth Gamepad Pocket-sized Mini Controller is up for grabs at $24.99. It comes in two color options including green and blue, per Polygon.
