You might have seen US-based users flaunt the TikTok feature where they can buy concert or event tickets online, but now, the Ticketmaster integration is available for more countries to access via the app. Over 20 more countries were added to the list that will receive this feature, with artists allowed to offer their ticket sales right on the social media app.

Selling tickets online has been one of the easiest ways to garner more people to watch, allowing artists to invite their fans through TikTok for their upcoming event.

In the latest press release by TikTok, the company announced expanding more of its collaboration with Ticketmaster to integrate its ticket-selling services via social media to countries outside the United States. Through the feature, fans may see more of artists' posts on the platform where there is a link that leads to their ticket sales for their next show, accessible via several clicks. 

The ticket sales on TikTok are available above the artists' names, and this is also where the TikTok Shop's yellow basket is located. 

The ticket sales would only be available from posts of Certified Artists on the platform for participating countries, extending more of their concert's promotions.

Sell Tickets via TikTok to 20 More Countries

Countries including the UK, Ireland, Australia, Germany, France, Canada, Mexico, Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Italy, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Switzerland, Spain, and Sweden get this feature. According to Engadget, other types of shows are available to sell on TikTok via Ticketmaster, and not only for music events. 

TikTok estimates as many as 75,000 entertainers and event providers may get to use this ticket-selling feature.

Ticketmaster's Selling Fiasco

While Ticketmaster is one of the largest and most significant platforms to get your tickets, it faced massive issues in recent times regarding fake tickets sold via its website. It previously faced a Mexico antitrust lawsuit after it sold unusable tickets when members of the audience went to the gate of a Bad Bunny concert, with Profeco going against the company in court. 

It also involves the previous selling fiasco that fans faced when the Eras Tour started offering it for sale online, with bots presenting a massive problem and buying massive numbers of tickets instead of humans. The Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter, Taylor Swift, previously shared her frustration online after the ticket sales were canceled due to inventory problems. 

Some artists have advised concert attendees and fans to buy tickets to their shows in physical stores to avoid scams or no longer seeing their sales online amidst the issues they faced. Still, Ticketmaster remains operational until now and it vowed to improve the experience on the platform, with its integration on the TikTok app extending more of the reach for artists to promote and sell via social media.
