Apple had a great idea for making collaborative or social experiences more immersive in the Vision Pro with the so-called 'Spatial Persona' avatars, but users are not entirely buying into it.

Despite this, it was found 'creepy' and disturbing, as the avatars take the likeness of their owners and appear inside the spatial computing, mixed reality world of the Vision Pro.

Through Spatial Personas, friends and contacts who own the Vision Pro would be represented in avatars and invade the mixed reality space inside people's headsets.

Apple's Spatial Persona is now available on Vision Pro, and it is a beta feature that users can try on VisionOS version 1.1 or later.

However, it did not become the talk of the town because of its high-tech features but rather because of its lack thereof.

According to Gizmodo, it is a somewhat 'creepy' experience, with the virtual avatars of collaborators going as far as being depicted as disturbing.

The report went as far as to say that Spatial Personas "don't have that human touch" as the avatars represent their owners when inside the space.

Will Apple Enhance More of the Spatial Personas?

Apple still has the chance to enhance and improve more of Spatial Persona, especially as it is still in the beta testing phase.

Spatial Persona was introduced by Apple to copy a Vision Pro owner's likeness, facial expressions, and hand gestures to make them appear like they are in the same place. This only works for people who own Vision Pro headsets, and it requires at least two users and up to a maximum of 5 in a session.

Users may do activities together and work on collaborative efforts, where the said avatar is also permitted to effect actions and control several elements in the mixed-reality world.

The Apple Vision Pro Experience

The Vision Pro is the first and only immersive wearable of Cupertino, and massive developments have been made for the headset to bring the said experience. First off, it features significant specs that set it apart from other devices with its 23 million pixels display that it touted to be more than 4K TVs, Spatial Audio, Spatial photo and video capture, and more.

Apple banked on spatial computing as the main focus of Vision Pro, centered on a notable performance that offered the best of both augmented and virtual realities under one platform.

Moreover, Apple also ensured that Spatial Gaming is also part of the Vision Pro experience, with Apple Arcade offering specific titles that take the games to the next level.

Users may multitask and focus on completing work inside the AR/VR world of the Vision Pro as it is also capable of bringing the Mac desktops inside the headset, alongside other windows.

However, despite the massive technology offered by the headset, not all are perfect, and this includes the Spatial Persona avatars which are giving people serious creeps when undergoing a collaborative experience.
