The Sony Xperia Z4 tablet made an appearance on the official Xperia Lounge app, confirming that Sony may be shortly releasing the device to the market.

The appearance by the Xperia Z4 tablet, however, was very brief as its page in the Xperia Lounge was swiftly taken down.

The discovery was made by the Xperia Blog website, which managed to capture a screenshot of the page before it was pulled from the Xperia Lounge.

The Xperia Lounge page, which bore the date Mar. 3, showed an image of the much-anticipated device along with the headline "Discover the Xperia Z4 Tablet by Sony." The date possibly confirms the appearance of the tablet at the upcoming Mobile World Congress, which will be held from Mar. 2 to Mar. 5 in Barcelona, Spain.

The page also confirmed that the Xperia Z4 will come with a 2K display, along with an "ultra-fast processor" and "industry leading battery performance."

The Xperia Z4 has been rumored to be a major upgrade compared to its predecessor Xperia Z3, which featured a 5.2-inch HD display and a quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor.

The Xperia Z4 is said to be featuring a 5.5-inch QHD display with 1440 x 2560 pixel resolution, and it has been reported that the new device will be dropping the IMX220 camera sensor for a better version, though the name of the new sensor has not yet been determined. It is also said that the Xperia Z4 will feature a 27MP rear-facing camera and a 10MP front-facing camera.

While the Xperia Z3 lacked 64-bit capabilities, the Xperia Z4 will feature a 64-bit quad-core Snapdragon 810 processor that clocks in at 2.8 GHz. Rumors also state that the device will feature an Adreno 430 GPU, 4GB of RAM and an internal memory upgrade from 16GB to 32GB.

The Xperia Z4 may also feature Bluetooth 4.1 and Category 6 LTE connectivity, which will represent the first instance that the features are included in an Xperia device.

The Xperia Z4 is also said to be undergoing a major design change that will add an amplifier to improve the sound quality of the device, but it is not yet determined whether Sony is actively looking to enhance the sound quality of its Xperia devices to compete with rivals such as the BoomSound speakers found in HTC smartphones.

It is also rumored that the Xperia Z4 will be powered by the latest version of the Android mobile operating system, Android 5.0 Lollipop.
