More than two months after being found lying face down in a bathtub in her home, 22-year-old Bobbi Kristina Brown has been moved from Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia where she has been kept in a medically induced coma to a rehabilitation facility nearby.
This will be the second move for Bobbi Kristina as she was initially brought to North Fulton Hospital when she was found unresponsive on Jan. 31.
The only child of singer Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown celebrated her birthday in a coma last March 4, and sources who are close to the family have told reporters that her condition remains unchanged.
Fans of both Bobbi Kristina and her late mother Whitney Houston can't help but see parallels between the tragic death of the six-time Grammy Award winner who was found dead in a bathtub in Beverly Hills on Feb 11, 2012. Houston had been battling substance abuse. Her death was attibuted to heart disease, which developed as a result of chronic cocaine use.
Some reports have suggested that Bobbi Kristina also had her own demons with alleged daily cocaine use as well.
How exactly Bobbi Kristina ended up in her unresponsive state remains a mystery as authorities are still investigating.
Bobbi Kristina's father Bobby Brown, as well as her boyfriend Nick Gordon, had been waging a very public online Twitter battle ever since she was brought to the hospital. According to reports, Nick would often visit her but was then prevented by Bobby after he accused Nick of not cooperating with investigators. Nick has denied any wrong-doing in whatever incident that led up to Bobbi Kristina ending up in a coma.
Police investigators have said that they initially "didn't suspect foul play."
However, a criminal investigation, with a focus on Nick, began in late February. No further information regarding the investigation has yet been officially released, and Bobby has refused to allow Nick to see Bobbi Kristina until he explains to him in writing exactly what occurred on the night of Jan. 31.
Meanwhile, Bobbi Kristina remains in a medically induced coma from which doctors were unable to wean her off in a previous attempt to wake her. Her family continues to ask fans for their continued support and prayers for her recovery.
