These days, some trailers are getting more attention than entire movies. With DC and Marvel finally getting ready to duke it out for box office domination, fans are understandably excited...the only problem is that DC has yet to really show anything.

For months, fans have been speculating on what would be included in the Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice trailer: will it be a recap of Man of Steel? Will it be a preview of the epic battle that's sure to come? Will it even feature the titular heroes for more than a few seconds?

While none of those questions have answers quite yet, fans now know when they can get those answers: thanks to the BBFC, the release date for the Batman v. Superman trailer has just been revealed. As it turns out, DC fans don't have all that long to wait before seeing the Man of Steel and the Dark Knight on-screen together.

If you're in a theater on Monday, April 20, there's a good chance you'll see the trailer.

There's no word on which film the trailer will be attached to, as many speculated that the Batman v. Superman trailer would be debuting alongside Warner Bros.' Mad Max: Fury Road. Obviously, if the trailer is debuting next week, that's no longer the case - though, in a spot of irony, rumors suggest that the Batman v. Superman trailer will be attached to none other than Marvel's Avengers: Age of Ultron when it debuts later this month.

Other than the trailer's running time, nothing else has been revealed about the teaser. That being said, rumors have been circulating that director Zack Snyder will debut the first five seconds of footage via Twitter tomorrow morning - an hour before the second Star Wars Episode VII trailer is set to debut.

So, while it is somewhat strange that people are losing their minds over a two-minute preview for a film that won't be released for nearly a year, DC fans finally know when they can catch a glimpse of one of the first big movies in the publisher's rebooted cinematic universe.

Let's just hope that all of this waiting and speculating was worth it. The Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice trailer is set to debut in theaters on Monday, April 20.
