No one saw the world the way Steve Jobs did. That is the pithy conclusion of the first official trailer for Steve Jobs, the biopic, and it is going to leave you wanting for more.

Universal Pictures led us into our first look at actor Michael Fassbender portraying the legendary visionary who forever changed the way we use smartphones. With just 10 seconds longer than a minute, the teaser doesn't really show us anything, except Fassbender wearing Jobs' famous black turtleneck shirt, with his back turned to the camera most of the time.

We do, however, hear a smattering of quotes from Jobs and other characters.

"I sat in a garage and invented the future," Jobs says at one point.

"The musicians play the instruments. I play the orchestra," he says, after being reminded that he was not an engineer.

"I love that you don't care how much money a person makes. You care what they make, but what you make isn't supposed to be the best part of you," says a female character near the teaser's end.

Aside from multiple views of Fassbender's turtlenecked back, we also catch short glimpses at the film's other actors. There is Kate Winslet, who plays former Macintosh marketing chief Joanna Hoffman, Seth Rogen as Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak, and Jeff Daniels as former Apple chief John Sculley.

Toward the end of the teaser, we see Jobs walking out to a stage to meet a roaring crowd of cheering supporters, in what is believed to be a scene where he introduces the iMac in 1998, followed by three full seconds of a closeup shot of his face.

Steve Jobs is directed by Danny Boyle, known for his award-winning work in Trainspotting and Slumdog Millionaire. The script was written by Aaron Sorkin based on the authorized Steve Jobs biography written by Walter Isaacson.

Sorkin is also responsible for the screenplay of David Fincher's The Social Network, a critically acclaimed portrayal of the boy genius Mark Zuckerberg's rise to the top of the Internet when he founded Facebook at a dorm room in Harvard. Based on the teaser we've just seen, Steve Jobs should get the same treatment from Sorkin.

Steve Jobs, which centers on three iconic Apple product launches ending with the iMac, is scheduled to hit cinemas on Oct. 9. The film also stars Perla Haney-Jardine as Jobs' daughter Lisa Brennan-Jobs and Katherine Waterston as Chrisann Brennan, Lisa's mother.
