As we get closer to the rumored August 12 launch of the Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge Plus, details of both devices are regularly leaking. A new image compares the S6 Edge and its larger sibling, the S6 Edge Plus.

Samsung and all other smartphone manufacturers are still feeling the sting from strong sales of Apple's latest iPhones, the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus. The handsets, which were launched in September 2014 and continue to be the most sold smartphones at many U.S. carriers, have topped Samsung's latest and greatest Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge, which only went on sale in April.

Sales of the Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge have been very impressive but have received mixed results; especially from Samsung smartphone fans that feel the smartphones are more iPhone-like, since Samsung has chosen not to include a removable battery and microSD expansion slot, something it long criticized Apple for.

Samsung has decided to get a jump on Apple, which will introduce the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus in September. It has pushed up the release of the Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge Plus, from its normal September launch, to a launch on August 12 and release on August 21.

We just reported that the Samsung Galaxy Note 5's new and improved S Pen leaked, and now, images of a Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge have appeared with the upcoming Galaxy S6 Edge Plus.

A new report from Nowhereelse.fr claims to show the black Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge lying on top of what is reportedly a Galaxy S6 Edge Plus prototype. The images show off the size difference between the Galaxy S6 Edge and a gold Galaxy S6 Edge Plus. As you can see, the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus is wider than the S6 Edge, which is expected due to the 5.7-inch quad-HD Super AMOLED display the device will be packing.

As always, we'll keep you posted on any new Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus and Galaxy Note 5 news.
