Eager to know which smartphones will get upgraded to the impending Windows 10 Mobile from Windows Phone 8.1? You're in luck, as a probable list of Lumia smartphones said to benefit from the upcoming operating system has popped up online.

So far, Microsoft has been ambiguous on the devices that are expected to stay on Windows Phone 8.1 and those which will get updated to Windows 10 Mobile. Moreover, while the Lumia smartphones and handsets from other OEMs are expected to get the impending OS update, Microsoft has shed little light on the minimal system requirements to be eligible for the OS update.

However, all that is about to change as the enterprising folks at WindowsMania.pl managed to lay their hands on a list which reveals the Lumia smartphones for the Windows 10 Mobile OS update. The leaked document lists the Qualcomm SoCs which are compatible with Microsoft's next-gen OS for mobile phones.

The publication divulges that Qualcomm was rumored to be the chipset provider for new smartphones with Windows 10 Mobile OS. It also shares a table where the Qualcomm processors that are compatible with Windows 10 OS are given.

Per this table, if your Lumia smartphone packs in any of the listed Qualcomm SoCs, then it is in line to get the Windows 10 Mobile update.

The table suggests that the popular Lumia 520 is set to benefit from the update as the Qualcomm chipset MSM8227 is listed as "SoCs supported in Windows Phones that can be updated to Windows Mobile 10." Lumia 920 (MSM8960) and Lumia 830 (MSM8926) are also in line to get the update. Some of the other Lumia smartphones whose processors the table lists are the Lumia 535, Lumia 630, Lumia 635 and Lumia 735.

The HTC 8S which houses the Qualcomm MSM8627 SoC is also eligible for the update.

Additionally, per the leak, devices that pack in the new Qualcomm chipsets such as the MSM8994, MSM8992, MSMS8952, MSM8909 and MSM8208 will also offer support for Windows 10 Mobile.

In November 2014, Lumia's official Twitter handle confirmed that all Lumia smartphones on Windows 8 will get upgraded to Windows 10 Mobile.

However, whether Microsoft will eventually update the listed chipset-supported devices to the Windows 10 Mobile OS remains to be seen.
