With DirecTV now under its umbrella, AT&T is offering subscribers to the pay-TV service up to $500 in credit per line if they switch wireless service.

For each line ported over to AT&T's Next program, the telecom company will issue $300 in billing credits to the account holder. AT&T will offer up $200, on top of that $300, for the trade of  handsets in "good working" condition.

"This is a unique offer and unlike anything we've ever done - all to celebrate DirecTV now being part of the AT&T family," says David Christopher, chief marketing officer for AT&T Mobility. "This is another way we're making it better when you choose TV and wireless from AT&T."

For U-Verse customers, AT&T is offering an additional $10 bill credit each month for $120 off annually. The deal requires that customers combine their wireless and U-Verse bills and subscribers will receive the credit for as long as they keep the two accounts combined.

The offer is only good in the continental US and will run until Oct. 4. As usual, the offer is only extended to postpaid customers.

The deals born of AT&T's buyout of DirecTV don't end there. AT&T's recently launched All in One Plan, which AT&T says is the first nationwide package combining TV and wireless service, bundles several service for $200 per month.

"The All in One Plan includes HD and DVR service for four TV receivers, unlimited talk and text for four smartphone lines with 10GB of shareable data - all for $200 a month for 12 months," says AT&T.

Late last month, the Federal Communications Commission finally blessed AT&T's acquisition of DirecTV for $49 billion. While AT&T has bumped heads with the FCC over several issues, FCC Chairman Mike O'Rielly said that it shouldn't have taken the commission a year to approve this particular deal.
