If you're a fan of Portal, you're going to wish you had Randy Slavey for a dad: Slavey, a blogger at the community blog GeekDad, completely turned his son's room into an IRL Aperture Science Computer-Aided Enrichment Center from the popular puzzle-platform game.

In a blog post for GeekDad, a site for parents who "[seek] to raise their kids in their own geeky image," Slavey went through a play-by-play as to how he renovated his son's room from scratch.

Using cubic and streamlined furniture from IKEA, Portal paraphernalia from ThinkGeek, LED lights, spotlights, decals and a good old-fashioned polycrylic paint job, Slavey transformed his kid's room from a typical tween lair to the headquarters of "one of Aperture Laboratories' finest young test subjects." And of course, one cannot forget the Portals themselves — in this case, oval-shaped mirrors from Home Depot.

For those who want to look through a gallery of the finished project, the end result can be seen here on Imgur, also posted by Slavey.
