Amazon is not playing games, as the company is adamant on carving a piece of the market set-top box market for itself with the Fire TV, and to continue its success in the tablet market with the Kindle HDX. For a limited time, the company is offering both devices for a cool $249, that's around $79 less if consumers should purchase the devices separately.

The Kindle Fire HDX is probably the best 7-inch tablet available to date. The model on sale comes with 16GB of internal storage, a quad-core 2.2 GHz Snapdragon 800 processor, 2 GB of RAM, and Wi-Fi a/b/g/n. However, if folks want more memory, it is possible for them to go out and purchase an SD card use Amazon's cloud storage.

The Fire TV, on the other hand, well, it didn't exactly turn out to be the next best thing but the device is still good enough to the basic movie streaming things most consumers will come to expect. Furthermore, this device is great for folks who are knee deep in the Amazon ecosystem.

The device also comes with $15 Amazon Instant Video credit, so users can get down and dirty on a few movie rentals with friends on a free night.

Now, not everyone will want both devices, but we think it would be wise to purchase the bundle for $249 if one only wants the Kindle Fire HDX. After that, sell the Fire TV for around $90. By doing this, consumers would end up purchasing the Kindle Fire HDX for around $159, and that's a good deal, right? Of course it is.

Come to think of it, this deal could turn out to be a great Father's Day gift. Truthfully, not everyone cares much about Father's Day since all the rage is about Mother's Day these days. But for those who love daddy more than anything in the world, we recommend getting the old man this bundle.

As stated above, the deal is only for a limited time, so go forth right now and pick it up because this deal might never show its head again.

Interested parties can order the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX and Fire TV bundle for $249 right now.
