In a bid to hunt down bug issues for its opt-in Windows 10 Xbox One app beta, which touts to offer a revamped user interface soon, Windows is now rolling out invitations to its Xbox One Experience: Preview Program. However, Microsoft is rolling it out in waves, which means it is releasing the beta app to select members of the preview program first.

While the newly overhauled UI seems tempting to try, reports say the preview comes with a number of glitches and errors.

According to sources, one of the significant bugs users experience with the preview is that some of the games fail to launch. Some of the games identified as not working properly include the following: Xbox Fitness, Skylanders, Elite: Dangerous and Destiny: The Taken King.

Online connectivity errors, graphical glitches and DLC crashes are also reportedly suffered by preview users. Assassin's Creed Unity, Forza and Elder Scrolls Online are said to have these bugs.

If users wish to try any of these apps, reports indicate they don't work as well: SlingTV, SyFy, VUDU, Showtime, WWE, TED, USA, MLC and a few more. Either the apps do not launch or their videos do not play.

Reports point out that Microsoft is rolling out the preview event to find various bugs and come up with an error-free UI when the app finally goes live this coming fall. Many users call Microsoft's decision to roll out the preview in waves as strategic and smart.

"The guys at Xbox are smart for rolling this out slowly. By being a slow roller they are able to make sure all the issues are fixed right away instead of being broken for everyone at one time," user ohn Paul Richards commented. "Xbox has learned from its mistakes and it has become a better coming because of it."

Users who want first dibs on the Xbox experience on Windows 10 should visit the Microsoft Store to download the Xbox app.
