"Suicide Squad" is just 11 months away, but that is not stopping Jared Leto from talking about the film and what fans should expect from his character, the Joker.
According to what Leto had to say in an interview with Heroic Hollywood, it appears his character is going to be crazier than other Jokers before him. We could see this in the trailer with his actions and the way he looks.
Leto's Joker is filled with tattoos and a few grilled teeth, and we have no idea what caused him to be like that. From everything, it is clear that Jared Leto's take on the character is going to be a complete psychopath, something we have yet to see from the Joker in live action.
"I can't wait for you to see this - they're going to lock me away in a box after this movie comes out," says Leto.
This does not provide us with a lot of information, but it gives us a simple idea on what we should expect. We also heard in the past that this Joker will give off a vibe only seen from Hannibal Lecter. For those who are not certain who is, we suggest taking a peek at the hit TV show, Hannibal on NBC.
We were skeptical about this being true, but after seeing the trailer and what the Joker was going to do to Harleen Quinzel before she became Harley Quinn, we were definitely sold on the idea. The trailer shows the Joker readying himself to perform shock therapy to the brain on Harleen Quinzel, and we know such things can drive a person insane.
Strangely enough, she still loves him despite what he had done to her, and will do anything to make sure that "Mr. J" is fine.
If fans look at what she's wearing during the trailer and the leaked set photos, it is clear that Harley Quinn is the property of the Joker, and anyone who attempts to go there would likely get their face bashed in.
"Suicide Squad" will hit the big screen on Aug. 5, 2016.
