Microsoft Lumia 550 render has leaked online. Windows Phone smartphone users will hope that Microsoft unveils the handset on Oct. 6.

Rumors of the Lumia 550 have been doing the rounds in the market for many months and now a press render leaked by famous leakster @evleaks gives a glimpse of what the phone may look like.

@Evleaks has tweeted a render of Lumia 550 but the tweet does not contain any details about the specs and release date of the mobile phone.

Microsoft has already announced an event scheduled for Oct. 6, where the company is expected to show case the Lumia 950 and the Lumia 950XL. These Windows Phone devices will be the first to come running on Windows 10 Mobile operating system. However, the Lumia 550 may also share the stage at the event.

Microsoft has kept its lips tight regarding the upcoming Lumia smartphone but previous rumors suggest that the Lumia 550 will sport a 4.7-inch AMOLED display with 1,280 x 720 pixels resolution and a pixel density of 312ppi.

Under the hood of the smartphone will be a Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 processor clocked at 1.1GHz and 1GB of RAM. The Lumia 550 will come with 8GB of internal storage capacity, probably with the option to expand the memory with a microSD card.

The Lumia device is estimated to be equipped with a 5MP rear-facing camera with flash. The handset will have a 2MP front-facing camera, which will also have a flash for taking better quality selfie images. A 1,905mAh battery is expected to provide juice to the Lumia 550.

The Lumia smartphone may have on-screen keys and support for 4G LTE connectivity. From the leaked render it seems that Lumia 550 will have a speaker at the rear left and will be available in black and white color options.

If Windows 10 Mobile is launched at the Oct. 6 event then it is highly likely that the Lumia 550 will come running on the latest operating system straight out of the box.

Pricing details remain unknown for the entry-level Lumia 550. Customers will hope that the Lumia 550 will be available for less than $100.
