A 500 gigabyte is no longer enough for some Xbox users as games now can easily take up storage, so Microsoft has introduced a new model for the digital gaming console. The upcoming Xbox Series S will be available in 1 terabyte, doubling the space, and it will be initially offered for only $350.

New Xbox Series S With 1 TB is Coming for Only $350

Microsoft is now introducing a new era of the Xbox Series S, which it claims to be "Back in Black." The bold Carbon Black color is reportedly the same sleek, modern matte finish as Xbox Series X and the Xbox Wireless Controller.

It features the same next-gen speed and performance as the 512GB Series S, with a 1 TB storage option for only an additional $50 to its price tag. The Xbox Series S 512 GB was initially offered at $299.99, but come September 1, a new model for the console will feature a 1 TB of storage.

While the original Series S was only offered in a white finish for almost three years, Xbox will now offer the Carbon Black color scheme for the Xbox Series X, alongside a Wireless Controller.

Is the New Xbox Series S Worth It?

Home video game consoles were a thing in 2020, and they have been widely accepted for what it brings, as more people are looking to purchase everything online without the wait time for the physical copies from couriers.

The likes of the Series S also introduced a way to save money by letting go of the physical disc reader but still getting the same gaming experience, power, and performance in one package. The new Series S in Carbon Black and 1 TB offers a new way to play, with the familiar Xbox experience awaiting new gamers.

Xbox's Series Consoles

The generation of 2020's console upgrade era consisted of PlayStation and Xbox dominating the markets, saw a significant hardship in delivering a console to gamers due to the chip shortage. That being said, the early availability of the Xbox Series consoles had interested buyers wait for restocks, which only eased up about two years later.

Still, those who owned the consoles had gone ahead of enjoying what the current generation consoles brought to the world, exploring the different game titles available. Then came mundane problems like looking into expanding the onboard storage of the consoles, with Western Digital leaked to be making a few available this year dedicated to the Xbox Series consoles.

The new Xbox releases are already turning three later this November, but the sales for old consoles are not dropping. With Microsoft's further commitment to its console instead of PC gaming alone, Xbox is seeing an upgrade for its Series S, offering a 1 TB storage upgrade for only $50.
