Audiophiles will soon be able to stream music from their Apple Music account directly to their Sonos wireless speaker systems.

Sonos announced on Monday Apple Music beta will launch on its ecosystem on Dec.15, followed by its full public launch in early 2016.

All customers who have a Sonos speaker are eligible to register for the beta program on its website; however, they must already have an account with the music-streaming service.

Sonos users can also sign up for the beta using the company's app by tapping on Settings > Advanced Settings, and then tapping on Beta Program.

Once approved, Sonos users will be able to control Apple Music using the Sonos app, access their library of music, as well as new music recommended in the "For You" feature based on the user's music preferences and Beats 1 radio, which then sends the music directly to the speakers. The Sonos app is available for iOS, Android, Mac and PC.

The announcement marks the first time Apple has partnered with a third-party hardware maker to provide Apple Music integration. However, Apple Music can be streamed to other company's speakers via Bluetooth and AirPlay.

Apple previously promised to bring its music-streaming service to Sonos' speaker system back in June. The beta launch announcement follows Apple's ongoing effort to bring its music service to the hands and ears of more music lovers. The company previously rolled out an Apple Music app for Android earlier this month.

The Sonos speaker system allows consumers to put the connected speakers in different rooms of their house and control the music from various streaming platforms from a central location through its app.
