With the holiday shopping season here, customers everywhere are searching for great deals to buy gifts for themselves or for their loved ones. For Android smartphone enthusiasts that do not yet own Google's LG-made Nexus 5X, the device would surely be somewhere near or at the top of their lists.

The Nexus 5X received a $80 discount over the Black Friday and Cyber Monday shopping holidays, driving down the price of the 16GB model to $299 and the 32GB model to $349.

For users that were not able to acquire the Nexus 5X at these discounted prices, they are likely expecting that the price for the smartphone has gone back up to its normal price of $379 for the 16GB version and $429 for the 32GB version. However, there is some good news, as the Nexus 5X is still being sold at a discount during the holiday season.

Users looking to purchase the Nexus 5X can enjoy a $50 discount when acquiring the smartphone through its online listing on the Google Store, Amazon, Best Buy or B&H. The 16GB model is being sold for $329 and the 32GB model is being sold for $379.

According to the Google Store listing, the $50 discount will last until Dec. 30, so users looking to take advantage of the offer have about three weeks to decide on whether to pull the trigger or not.

The $50 discount is not as much as the $80 discount previously offered for the smartphone, but a discount is still a discount, and the Nexus 5X is among the best Android smartphones that are out in the market right now.

It is also possible that the price of the Nexus 5X will be maintained at its current levels of $50 off, as the smartphone has been seen as overpriced compared to the larger Huawei-made Nexus 6P, which is only $70 more despite being a substantially better device. Reducing the price of the Nexus 5X to these levels would widen the price gap between the two flagship Nexus devices for better differentiation, but that is only speculative. Users that are looking to purchase the Nexus 5X should definitely take advantage of the offer.
