However accurate or not, we've had a few noticeable presidential biopics and/or movies featuring presidents come out within the past few decades, from the farcical (Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter) to the sinister (JFK) to the prestigious (Lincoln, yet again, in a completely different titular movie) to the just plain not great (W and The Kennedys mini-series).

Despite myriad movies featuring U.S. presidents out there, there's still one that has yet to be truly tackled for the big screen: our nation's first, George Washington. Now, it looks like an unlikely director wants to take on his story — and that self-same director, Batman v Superman's Zack Snyder, wants to make it look exactly like the Frank Miller epic 300.

In a profile published in Bloomberg about the director on March 1, the man responsible for movies like Legend of the Guardians, Man of Steel, the upcoming Batman v Superman and Justice League — and yes, 300 — mentioned a surprisingly non-comic book-related movie he's always wanted to make about the Commander-in-Chief after which our national capital is named. Here's the quote in full, after the article mentions the director going into full-on Justice League mode:

"He's also thinking about making films that aren't comic book adaptations. Sort of. One of these days, he'd like to make one about George Washington in the style of 300. He has a picture in his office of the Revolutionary War hero crossing the icy Delaware on his way to decimate the British in the Battle of Trenton. 'We were talking about it,' Snyder says. 'The first thing we asked was, well, how are we going to make it look? I pointed at this painting. It looks like 300. It's not that hard.'"
