Motorola is expected to unveil its new flagship smartphones, which are reportedly called the Moto Z Play and Moto Z Style, in the near future. A press image for an event on June 9 in San Francisco has leaked and includes an image of the Moto Z.

Now that Motorola is no longer part of Google and is owned by Lenovo, the company is rumored to rename its flagship Moto X series to Moto Z. Motorola recently filed a trademark on the "Moto Z" name and recent reports have claimed the company will launch two new smartphones, the Moto Z Play and Moto Z Style.

An image of what was believed to be the Moto X 2016 leaked last December and showed a smartphone with a redesigned metal case, large rear camera, and the company's logo emblazoned on its rear.

In early May, a reliable source confirmed that the leaked image was legit and now, a leaked image from hellomotoHK of what appears to be a press invite for an event scheduled for June 9 in San Francisco shows a teaser for a smartphone that matches the previously leaked images. The date of the event coincides with Lenovo's scheduled Lenovo Tech World 2016.

The Moto Z Style and Moto Z Play are expected to feature 5.5-inch 2,560 x 1,440 Quad HD displays, with the Style reportedly powered by a Snapdragon 820 processor and the Play powered by a Snapdragon 625 chip.

The Moto Z Play will reportedly pack in a 16-megapixel rear camera, while the Moto Z Style will supposedly feature a 13-megapixel rear camera, and both are expected to include autofocus and OIS (optical image stabilization).

Like the LG G5, rumors have also suggested that the Moto Z Play and Moto Z Style will feature a metal case that will allow users to add on accessories called "Amps." Motorola will reportedly have an extra battery pack, a camera add-on, and projector "Amp" available when the smartphones officially go on sale.
