A set of iPhone 8 images just surfaced over the weekend, supporting previous design rumors leaked since April.

The leaked schematics feature details we've heard before about a purportedly OLED iPhone, including a longer power button and a vertical dual camera setup. Unsurprisingly, there's no home button to be found anywhere, which raises speculation over where Apple will put its Touch ID technology.

The alleged leaks come from SlashLeaks, which leaker Benjamin Geskin supported by posting similar images on Twitter, claiming he already had the said images for quite some time now.

iPhone 8 Leaked Schematics: What We Know

A breakdown of the schematics show a front camera, different sensors, and an earpiece placed toward the top of the phone's front panel. The front of the phone is reportedly covered by the display, with the exception of the aforementioned sensors. Needless to say that there's no home button featured in any of the renders, which raises speculation about Apple's development of a fingerprint technology that allows for the sensor to be embedded beneath the display.

On the back of the phone is a vertical dual camera setup, and what appears to be a fingerprint sensor near it. Geskin, however, notes that it isn't a sensor, but where the Apple logo is supposed to go.

Additionally, schematics leaked by SlashLeaks include what it claims to be a dummy iPhone 8 inside a case, akin to Apple's leather case for the iPhone 7. Although the image appears to be a render, it does corroborate design details shown in a recent video featuring a real-world dummy iPhone 8.

iPhone 8 Rumors

Previous iPhone 8 rumors suggest Apple's flagship will be a bit larger than the iPhone 7 and a bit smaller than the iPhone 7 Plus. Though it won't be significantly larger than the iPhone 7, its screen will be much bigger because rumors say the phone will feature a nearly bezel-less display.

With regard to the apparent lack of Touch ID in any of renders that have already surfaced, Apple might indeed push the technology mentioned above, which will relocate the fingerprint sensor beneath the display. How the company will achieve this is unclear, but it's worth noting that Samsung tried to put a similar technology in its Galaxy S8, but couldn't.

Apple could unveil the iPhone 8 this fall, if its fall unveiling pattern for iPhone models continue. The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus were both unveiled in September 2016, so it's easy to imagine the same launch schedule for the sequels.

In addition to the iPhone 8, rumors also suggest that Apple might release the iPhone 7s and 7s Plus, but unlike the iPhone 8, they'll feature LCD display, like every iPhone released so far. Both phones will reportedly continue using a home button like their predecessors. Yet details about both phones, especially about their improvements, remain slim.
