Following up on the 2 TB or 4 TB Game Drive for Xbox, Seagate is bringing yet another option to the table: an 8 TB Game Drive Hub for Xbox.

The company is launching the Game Drive series at an opportune time, just as Microsoft officially announced the Xbox Game Pass and Xbox One X, which was previously known as Project Scorpio.

At any rate, average gamers probably won't run out of storage space on their consoles with the 8 TB solution, and it'll arguably take some time before hard-core gamers will fill up the devices to their capacities, including the console's internal offering.

Seagate's Game Drive Hub For Xbox Has Got Your Back

The 8 TB Game Drive Hub for Xbox is out to handle massive libraries of games without a headache, providing a plug-and-play setup that'll take just a few minutes. It connects via one of the USB 3.1 ports on the console.

More than that, it's fitted with two USB 3.0 ports on the front. That way, gamers won't lose a port plug in wired controllers or other Xbox accessories or charge controllers and even mobile devices such as smartphones or tablets. The best part is, users can connect more Game Drives if 8 TB of additional storage isn't enough.

In terms of the data transfer rate, it's set at 160 MB per second. Seagate touts it to be capable of holding up to more than 200 games, which averages from 35 GB and 50 GB to 100 GB in size. That means deleting old files to make room will no longer be a problem with the Game Drive Hub for Xbox at hand.

"With 8 TB of capacity Game Drive Hub for Xbox has plenty of room for 200+ Xbox games. This kind of space easily takes care of gaming storage needs and makes deleting old games a thing of the past. Plus all that extra storage space is useful for the sizeable game-save data and downloadable content," Seagate says.

As for the release date, the Game Drive Hub for Xbox is expected to launch with a $199.99 price tag sometime this June.

It's also worth mentioning that it doesn't come with a free membership to Xbox Game Pass, unlike the 2 TB Game Drive for Xbox with a one-month subscription and the 4 TB variant with a two-month subscription.

Xbox Game Pass, Game Drive Hub For Xbox: The Perfect Pair

Microsoft's Xbox Game Pass works wonders with Seagate's Game Drive Hub for Xbox, considering how much space it'll take up in a jiffy.

For those uninitiated, the Netflix-like service for games will give access to more than 100 Xbox One and Xbox 360 games, not to mention that the catalog is updated regularly.

Put simply, gamers with a subscription can directly download titles and play either offline or online for $9.99 a month.
