It seems Bose will soon announce a new pair of wireless headphones that has Google Assistant built-in. Reportedly called the QuietComfort 35 II, this seems to be a direct addition to the QuietComfort line, but suffixed with "II" instead of being named something like Quietcomfort 40 or 45.

Google Assistant-Powered QuietComfort 35 II Leaks

Its naming suggests that it's an exact replica of Bose's already excellent QuietComfort 35 headphones but with a Google's voice assistant baked in.

This isn't exactly a surprise, though. Back in August, the company accidentally published a newsletter with an image showing unreleased headphones.

9to5Google now claims those pair of headphones were actually the QuietComfort 35 II. On the unit, there will be a new "Action button" that is pressed to activate Google Assistant. Users can perform several things using only their voice: ask questions, send and receive texts, control music, and more, provided a paired smartphone is in close range.

The headphones will be the first device under Google's "Bisto" series of smart headphones. Bisto, for the uninitiated, is what Google calls this category of devices within the Google app code.

There's more proof. As 9to5Google reports, a source tried to purchase a pair of QuietComfort 35 headphones from an Australian retailer but was told a new model is arriving in two to three weeks, and that it would have Google Assistant.

Want even more proof? A Reddit user shared several photos showing what seems to be the headphones's packaging. The image was posted briefly to an unspecified online store. It clearly shows there's a Google Assistant logo printed at the back of the box. Again, the headphones look exactly similar to the existing QuietComfort 35 cans, with the Action button being the only noticeable difference.

As for the headphones itself, the QuietComfort 35 II still seems to have the usual bells and whistles: adjustable noise cancelation, noise-rejecting dual microphones, and more. The packaging also claims the QuietComfort 35 II "[p]rovides clear calls and accurate Google Assistant response in noisy environments." Battery life is rated at 20 hours, similar to the existing model.

QuietComfort 35 II Price

The QuietComfort 35 wireless headphones retails for $349.95. Meanwhile, the Australian retailer sells it for AUD 499, but the Google Assistant model will cost the same, according to 9to5Google's source.

While the pair of headphones itself seems extremely certain by the looks of things, iOS compatibility remains a question. For what it's worth, the QuietComfort 35 II's packaging does indicate it'll work for Apple devices, but it doesn't explicitly suggest if Assistant-based features will also work on iOS.
