Just a week before the official unveiling of OnePlus 6, an unintentional leak supposedly reveals two color options for the forthcoming smartphone.

Dashing Color Options

The details on the new color options were reportedly revealed in a tweet by Amitabh Banchan, the smartphone's brand ambassador for India and Bollywood star.

Prior to its global launch slated for May 16 and on May 17 for India, consumers get a sneak preview of the two colors available for the latest entry of flagship killer series.

The photo posted on Twitter shows the actor together with Pete Lau, the CEO of the OnePlus. The image shows Lau holding the white variant and Banchan with the black model.

Color and Texture

The social media post is speculated to be an attempt to drive up hype for the OnePlus 6 launch event next week. Reports confirm that the images were already removed from Twitter. What followed are a series of posts on the company's different social channels, featuring a video clip that flaunts the smartphone's slow-motion options.

Industry experts likewise pointed out some details on the two colors for the new handset. The black color noticeably comes with a glossy rear panel, which is a given due to it being made of glass. Meanwhile, the white color seems to have a matte finish, which is speculated to be similar to the Sandstone White option of the OnePlus 5T.

Special Edition And Hardware Details

Sources confirmed that just like the OnePlus 5T and its Star Wars Edition, the OnePlus 6 will have an Avengers Limited Edition model that could be another exclusive for Indian markets. The manufacturer has yet to confirm if the special edition model will eventually become available elsewhere for collectors.

Previous leaks already confirmed that the OnePlus 6 will sport a notch just like the Apple iPhone X and very minimal bezels. The smaller borders enclose a 6.28-inch Optic AMOLED touch-screen that holds a 2280 x 1080 display resolution.

To back up its flagship killer moniker, the device relies on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 Soc, which is paired with an 8 GB and 6 GB RAM depending on the storage size.

Reported storage sizes include options such as 256 GB, 128 GB, and 64 GB. According to other sources, the 6 will be the first model from the manufacturer that will have dust and water resistance.

Moreover, it will be the first OnePlus smartphone that will feature an optical heart rate sensor onboard.
