Free Xbox Games With Gold September 2019: 'Hitman,' 'Tekken Tag Tournament 2,' And More

The Xbox Games with Gold lineup for September 2019 have been revealed.

For this month, Xbox Live Gold members will have free access to Hitman: The Complete First Season and We Were Here for the Xbox One, as well as Earth Defense Force 2025 and Tekken Tag Tournament 2 for the Xbox 360 with backward compatibility.

• Hitman: The Complete First Season

Normally $39.99, Hitman: The Complete First Season will be up for grabs starting on Sept. 1 until Sept. 30 for the Xbox One. The game also headlined the free PlayStation Plus games for February, and now that PlayStation 4 gamers have had their fun, it's Xbox One gamers' turn to enjoy the stealth game.

• We Were Here

Developed by indie studio Total Mayhem Games, We Were Here launched for the PC on Steam back in 2017, and now it's coming to the Xbox One as a freebie from Sept. 16 to Oct. 15.

• Earth Defense Force 2025

In 2019, Microsoft has been including titles from the Earth Defense Force in its Xbox Games with Gold program, namely Earth Defense Force 2017 in June and Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon in May. Now it's putting Earth Defense Force 2025 up free of charge between Sept. 1 and 15 for the Xbox One and Xbox 360.

• Tekken Tag Tournament 2

For the first time ever, an entry from the Tekken series is part of Xbox Games with Gold, and it's 2011's Tekken Tag Tournament 2. It'll be available from Sept. 16 to 30 for the Xbox One and Xbox 360.

Xbox Games With Gold In August 2019

Seeing as there are still a few days left in August, Xbox Live Gold subscribers can still get their hands on Gears of War 4 and Castlevania: Lords of Shadow until Aug. 31 and Forza Motorsport 6 until Sept. 15.
