Mark Twain, the founder and lead designer of Arc Vector electric motorcycle, said that reports about the astonishing bike's sudden disappearance were exaggerated. The unique electric bike faced many challenges over the past few years, even before reaching production.

Arc Vector, the high-tech and an expensive bike debuted with the fanfare at the 2018 EICMA Milan Motorcycle Show. However, its manufacturer then ran into a funding problem from bad investors, leading to its bankruptcy in 2019.

And now, Mark Truman was able to repurchase the company from the administration. Because of the good news, he is now ready to bring back the high tech bike.

"We had lots of interest after the administration, but nothing quite worked out. I decided to buy the assets myself four months ago," he said.

"The project had come too far and had been too well-received for me to not continue with it. The global support we had from people was astonishing and really left me with no other option," added the designer.

Previously the company wants to price the bike at US$117,000 (£90,000), making the Arc Vector not a typical electric motorcycle.

Arc Vector's features

Arc Vector has a whooping tops speed of 150 mph or 241 km/h. With its high-tech acceleration feature, it can easily reach 0-60 mph in just 2.7 seconds, which is nearly as fast as the Curtiss Zeus electric motorcycle.

Its range is estimated at 170 miles or 274 km in the city or 120 miles (193 km) on the highway. Back in 2018, it was reported that there are only 355 Arc Vector units that were produced, which lead to its extremely high price.

The design of this expensive bike is very different from other normal bikes. It uses a carbon fiber monocoque design instead of a conventional frame. Its body contains all the electronics, such as motor, controllers, and battery.

Because of this, the bike's design became bulky, making it look like it came from a sci-fi movie. The motorbike's other components consist of a carbon fiber swingarm, custom Ohlins dampers, and Brembo brakes mounted in the rare 6 o'clock position.
