There are already several multi-screen computers on the market, but a seven-screen laptop seems to be a thing of Hollywood science-fiction or hacking movies, but it's coming true in real life, thanks to UK-based company Expanscape's Aurora 7.

Aurora 7 has seven screens and is currently a prototype.

Seven Screens in One Laptop

According to New Atlas, the Aurora 7 has seven foldout screens, making it heftier than the common laptops currently available, weighing 26 pounds and is 4.3 inches thick.

As of now, the Aurora 7 is currently in the prototype stage, so it does come with a lot of 3D-printed parts and due to its multiple screens, the battery life is rather poor, surviving on its own for only an hour, as per the news outlet.

Nevertheless, it's more or less going to be upgraded as the company continues to develop the laptop, but if you're willing to buy it at this stage, it's currently available at Expanscape's website.

Aurora 7 Prototype Specs

So, what can you get under the hood?

The Aurora 7 is mostly made for people who need multiple screens, such as game or software developers, digital artists, editors, content creators, or even gamers who want to experience a more immersive gaming experience.

With that, the laptop should be powerful enough to run multiple software at once, and the Aurora 7 does not disappoint.

The multi-screen laptop is powered by Intel i9 9900K processor and comes with 64GB of DDR4 RAM and an NVIDIA GTX 1060 series graphics card, plus a massive 2.5TB of SSD storage and an additional 2GB of hard drive storage.

But if that's not enough for your needs, you can still expand the storage capacity much further.

As for the screens--which are the obvious stars of the show--consumers will get four 17.3-inch 4K (3840x2160) LCD screens, with two in landscape mode and two other in portrait modes, plus three smaller screens at 7 inches at 1920x1200 pixels.

One of the smaller screens is located at the laptop's wrist rest.

If the users are done with the laptop, all the screens have been engineered to fold into itself so it can be carried flat, but then again, it's rather hefty and thick so it's not exactly something that can be carried around.

However, Expanscape is planning to make the Aurora 7 slimmer and lighter at 22 pounds, so it's still not the best laptop to carry around.

Aurora 7 Price

With everything said, how much is the Aurora 7 prototype laptop?

Unfortunately, no one but the UK-based company knows since according to Gizmodo, buyers will have to sign an NDA upon purchase to ensure consumers don't say anything about how much they spent to buy the unique laptop.

For those who wanted to purchase the prototype, they have to check Expanscape's website and email them at the address they gave out.

Usually, prototypes are more expensive than mass-produced products due to the time and money required to develop each of the parts, but as of now, the price for the Aurora 7 prototype is still unknown.
