Capcom's "Resident Evil Village" or the eighth installation of the popular horror thriller game is coming on Friday, May 7, and the world is hyping up for its release as Walmart lists the game on its online stores. The game would be released to the PlayStation 4 and 5 (PS4, PS5) consoles, alongside the Xbox Series S, X, and Xbox One.

Ethan Winters is coming, and this time, he would be venturing the horror-filled plot of "Resident Evil Village" to uncover the dark mystery and terror brought by the presence of Lady Dimetriscu and her evil castle. The eighth installment of the game franchise has expanded on the storyline and plot of the "Resident Evil" -verse that has started since its release in 1996.

The last demo that was released by Capcom and the "Resident Evil Village" team has depicted more of who Lady Dimetriscu is, and the lore behind her castle, Castle Dimetriscu. This seemingly haunted mansion is one of the main plots and settings of the game and would focus on a startled Ethan Winters which have been investigating what terror is looming over.

'Resident Evil Village' Release Date

According to the popular and trusted game leaker, Wario64 (@Wario64) via Twitter, Walmart has already a listing and landing page for "Resident Evil Village" in anticipation of its Friday, May 7 release date. This finally comes after years of speculations and leaks that surrounded the eighth installment of the game, which has been highly anticipated.

 

Where to Buy 'Resident Evil Village'

Walmart has already listed "Resident Evil Village" for its PS4, PS5, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, and Xbox One releases, which is heavily focusing on console gaming for the game. There already are two variants for the game, and it includes the Standard and Deluxe Edition of "RE:8" which features two different price points.

The regular/standard version sells for $59.99 but has a $10 discount for its release weekend, making it available for $49.99 only. However, the "Resident Evil Village" Deluxe Edition sells for its original price tag of $69.99 and brings the different weapon skins, posters, a book entitled "Tragedy of Ethan Winters," and the game itself.

Note that "Resident Evil Village" can be in the digital or physical version from Capcom. Moreover, there would be a different offer for those who have purchased the game via pre-orders, as Capcom offers more freebies for both the Digital and Standard versions of the game.

'Resident Evil Village': All Will Get RE: Verse

In anticipation of the growing world of "Resident Evil," the latest "RE8" game is also offering the arrival of "RE: Verse" for people to enjoy, but there is a catch for this release. Players who have purchased the game via PlayStation 5 would get the "RE: Verse" in PlayStation 4, and Xbox Series S and X purchases would get it in "Xbox One."
