Amazon is giving consumers a high-quality alternative to the particulate respirator type N95. It is recommended to be reserved for medical workers. With that, the e-commerce company just released a United States-made KN95.
The search for good quality KN95 masks is tedious. People will have to decipher which are knockoffs or which provides better protection against the virus.

Furthermore, a study even claims that 70% of China-made KN95 are not protecting people from contracting a virus. Using inferior products is said to do more harm than good. The unfortunate reality is, these kinds of masks flood the online market.
As a cautionary tale, however, the Yankee COVID-19 disease outbreak is encouraging more people to still wear masks. So, the search for a high-qualtiy mask is not over.
As such, Amazon is still releasing new steals for N95 alternatives.
Protection Against Viral Infections
The new mask selling at $25 per 20-pack on Amazon is called the BNX KN95 mask. As mentioned, it is made in the U.S., particularly in Houston, Texas, the listing says.
If, however, some people are not yet familiar with what the KN95 masks are, it is China's version of the N95, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. It has been popular in the U.S. as people heeded the call of the government to prioritize the use of N95 for the medical workforce.

The said version is the closest that the general public could get. But, only if it is made following the FDA standards. The recommendation for masks is to filter 95% of viral particles.
The BNX mask, furthermore, is FDA approved, and according to the company, it could protect its users from 95% of airborne particles. However, according to Yahoo! Life, field tests showed more than advertised. It, instead, had 99% protection against airborne particles. It nearly blocks all the risk of contracting a virus.

Other Features Are Like Any KN95s
On other features, the said mask, like most KN95s, has an adjustable metal nose piece on top and an elastic ear loop. The latter, however, is made to last longer as it is latex-free and sonically bonded, Yahoo! Life added in the same report.
And again, similar to any KN95s, users may conveniently fold the masks flat and safely store them in their bags as they eat outdoors and intend to use them later.
The latter features are also available on other masks similar to it. However, the assurance of added protection stands out for the BNX KN95 Mask.
