"The Last of Us 2" has a photo mode, and it accidentally revealed a relatively easy miss a detail.

'The Last of Us 2' - Discovery of The Easter Egg

Caitlin, a well-known YouTuber, is a massive fan of the game, and she discovered a tiny reference to Manny and Abby hidden in plain sight -- Ellie and Joel's Jackson base.

While casually playing "The Last of Us 2," YouTuber Caitlin discovered a sneaky NPC in Jackson. He is holding a clipboard with a "snowplow schedule" attached to it. Curiosity got the best of her, and she decided to use the game's photo mode. By doing this, she could get a closer look into the content of the "snowplow schedule."

Much to Caitlin's surprise, it has Abby Anderson's name written on it, together with her fellow W.L.F. member -- Manny Alvarez.

'The Last of Us 2' Plot

According to Games Radar, the recent Easter egg that Caitlin found on "Last of Us 2" is quite puzzling.

Without spoiling the game's events, the lead protagonist had an exciting adventure, and on the first installment of "The Last of Us," they ended up settling down in Jackson, Wyoming.

Throughout the entire country, players found Abby and the rest of the Washington Liberation Front or W.L.F. stuck in Seattle, Washington. Previous players will also find Abby's existence in the area of Jackson quite amusing, and of course, jarring at the same time.

Why Abby and Manny's Names on The Jackson List

Everyone keeps on asking: Why are Manny and Abby's names on the list in Jackson?

According to Caitlin, the YouTuber who found the Easter egg, she has a theory. On the video's description, Caitlin stated that it is probably just a reused assignment list that animators got from the Forward Operating Base, also known as the W.L.F.'s primary headquarters.

Caitlin's theory might be a legitimate explanation for the Easter Egg because both Abby and Manny's names have been assigned a pretty specific task: to report to Isaac.

It makes total sense because Isaac is their boss, and he is also the proclaimed leader of the W.L.F.

Other W.L.F. members like Whitney, the PSP girl, and Nora are also clearly seen on the list.

Abby and Manny's name on the Jackson list is just another detail that fans of Naughty Dog's "The Last of Us 2" have discovered ever since its release in 2020.

Most of the Easter Eggs require a little bit of exploration, which means that users must spend plenty of out-of-bounds time playing them. And just like how Caitlin found Abby and Manny's name on the "snowplow schedule," other players may use the game's photo mode to identify other easy-to-miss Easter eggs.

Other Easter eggs that fans have discovered throughout playing the game are:

  • Where Tommy camped out in Seattle
  • How Joel's Jackson home looks like from the inside
  • How Ellie and Joel met the same dog two different times
