Xbox Game Pass Ultimate is finally adding "Halo" to its library. However, it is not the game as it is already available on the streaming service, but the "Halo: The Series," which is an upcoming live-action Paramount+ adaptation of the sci-fi shooter, which is expected to debut in Mar. 24.

Xbox Game Pass Adds Free Trial for Paramount+

To make sure that none of the subscribers miss out on the latest installment in the "Halo" franchise, Microsoft's Xbox Game Pass is now offering customers free 30-day membership to Paramount+ starting Mar. 23 so that they can be ready to tune in when the show arrives the next day.

The "Halo" TV show is set in a different continuity than the existing video games, books, and other "Halo" content that has come before, according to The Verge.

The free 30-day trial is only enough to get Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers through the first five episodes of the 9-episode season, so fans looking to finish the flight series will have to eventually pay up for another month of Paramount+.

If you are an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscriber that is also a fan of "Halo" and you are interested in checking out the new TV show, this 30-day trial is a great perk, according to Engadget.

Xbox Game Pass Adds Two New Games

According to Kotaku, Xbox Game Pass added two more games on Mar. 18 during a showcase that was focused on indie games.

The two new games that are added to Game Pass are "Tunic" and "Paradise Killer."

"Paradise Killer" was developed by Kaizen Game Works, and it is one of the most unique games released in the past few years. The game is a visual novel and a detective game all in one.

Games are tasked with solving a murder in a pocket universe full of interesting characters. But the main attraction was the catchy synthwave soundtrack from Barry Topping.

As you play the game, you unlock more music, slowly creating a jukebox menu that you could use to switch up the tunes at any point. For its release on Xbox and PlayStation on Mar. 18, Kaizen Games Works added a couple more songs.

Meanwhile, "Tunic" is a Zelda-inspired adventure game that came out on Mar. 18 and is already being acclaimed as one of the best games released this year. Gamers play a little fox, who wakes up empty-handed on a beach.

From an isometric perspective, gamers plunder dungeons and slash enemies in a fantasy setting. "Tunic" trusts its players, so the menus and the signs are done up in a runic language. Players are forced to rely on instinct and internalized knowledge gleaned from other games.

In December 2021, Xbox Game Pass added three games: "Generation Zero," "Townscaper," and "Serious Sam 4."

This is not the first time that the service has offered free months to its subscribers. In December 2021, Xbox Game Pass gave its subscribers a 5-month free service .

Earlier this year, Xbox Game Pass announced that it will no longer charge its inactive subscribers.
