Spotify's new site for ticket selling is not yet announced, but the Swedish music streaming giant has already "silently" rolled it out for fans who want to buy concert tickets.

With this, people won't be required to go to Eventbrite and other ticket partners for the purchase. The process of buying a ticket is easy through a credit or debit card.

The music streaming giant begins the direct selling of music tickets to fans.

According to a report by Engadget, Spotify is still testing the Spotify Tickets platform at the moment. It's not yet officially launched in public, but it's expected that future developments will be added soon.

As of writing, the company is selling pre-sale tickets to the customers. However, there's a catch here. Since it's under Spotify, you need to have a Spotify account for the transaction.

Once you enter the ticketing platform, you will see the available bookings for the gigs that you want to attend. You can view it in the My Events section. Additionally, you can check the past history of the bookings and future ticket events.

The Spotify Tickets site has a limited list of artists who will soon perform in the US. These include TOKiMONSTA, Annie DiRusso, Limbeck, Four Years Strong, and Crow.

"At Spotify, we routinely test new products and ideas to improve our user experience. Some of those end up paving the path for our broader user experience and others serve only as important learnings. Tickets.spotify.com is our latest test. We have no further news to share on future plans at this time," the company told TechCrunch.

It should be noted that the current events on the ticketing website cannot be found on the Live Events Feed. However, it is expected that Spotify will change it in the next few updates.

Spotify Live Ticket Selling is Anti-Scalper

Although the company's partners are responsible for setting the prices of the tickets, the additional booking fee will be up to Spotify. It's important to be aware of this before you purchase an event ticket from the site.

More importantly, the Spotify Tickets site could provide more security to the users who really want to join the upcoming concert. Since the ticket demand is high during this season, scalpers hoard the available tickets for profit.

The support page of the service, however, indicates that people are not allowed to "resell, assign, or transfer" the tickets. There's an exemption to this in select states.

If a person wants to sell the ticket to another interested individual, he/she should contact Spotify so the company can change the original name written on it.

No one knows about the official launch of Spotify Tickets, but it's a good start for the music streaming service to explore another venture on top of streaming.
