With the popularity surrounding the TikTok feed, another company is reportedly testing out the same feature, but this time for the products.

Amazon is the latest firm to explore having a TikTok-like social feed for all customers across the platform. The tech titan wants to increase its engagement with many users through ads.

Amazon is the latest tech company to test out a TikTok-style feed for products.

At the moment, social media sites have been heavily dominated by short videos, starting from Facebook to other popular platforms. 

Introducing easily digestible feeds has helped the sites attract more curious users about the content. These short clips tend to be creative for all the viewers from a particular space.

As per The Wall Street Journal, the photo and video feed is accessible to a select number of Amazon employees, a person who knows the company matters said.

Having said that, not all can view the vertical feed on the platform. The said feature is dubbed "Inspire," according to Watchful Technologies Ltd, an Israel-based AI startup that revealed the feature. Users who want to try this out can navigate the bottom bar of the Amazon app.

Upon seeing an icon resembling a diamond, those who want to dive inside the feed can see the links to the products they want to purchase soon.

TechCrunch reports that Amazon has been emulating some features from several social media apps in the past. For instance, it has previously launched Posts which is an ad-focused tool that it borrowed from Instagram.

Additionally, the e-commerce giant has also lent a marketing feature from Facebook. The company seems to be investing heavily in gathering many customers who usually go live shopping.

When asked about the reason why Amazon arrived with a TikTok-like feed for its goods, the spokesperson answered that the company aims to test the feature to "help make customers' lives a little easier."

Amazon's TikTok-Like Feed Release

As of writing, Phone Arena wrote that there's no clear indication if Inspire will be publicly released soon. The rollout of the shorts app is not yet determined at the moment.

Companies are Copying TikTok Feeds

Indeed, TikTok has brought shorts to extreme popularity among the fans. Because the competition is becoming stiffer, several companies decided to adopt the TikTok-style feed for their advantage.

Last year, Reddit introduced a quite similar feature that compiles clips from subreddits that you are currently following.

Spotify also unveiled "Discover," which is also inspired by TikTok's vertical video feed. The only difference is that it features songs for music listeners.
