For people that want to save money and DIY their smart home integration, IKEA has something from their development that aims to answer that need, and it is with the DIRIGERA smart home hub. The company first unveiled its product last May, but it did not release it by then due to delays and unknown issues within the company.

However, this late 2022 may be the time for the DIRIGERA to bring its technology to the home, as the IKEA German website already brought a live listing of the device.

The Verge reported that many speculate that the device is already coming this year, and the listing confirms its soon availability, with a Matter smart home support.

The DIRIGERA lists for 59.99 €, and it is roughly $60 in the United States currency. It is safe to say that the device would play around with that price for its availability in the country for its soon release. The Norwegian website of IKEA confirms that it will soon be available by November, with no specific release date for the device.

Smart Home Hubs and Development

Smart home development and hubs are a massive need in today's many technological changes as people want to control everything from their phones and other gadgets present. It foregoes the need to access each appliance or switch to turn on or off, as well as do its other functions like doing cycles for laundry, setting the right temperature, and more.

Back in 2021, a collective of developments and support was supposedly launched as Matter, and it aims to bring access to any device from significant Big Tech companies in the world.

However, it faced unforeseen delays which pushed it back to a year later, with reports claiming that it is coming by Fall 2022, the season which the world is in now.

When people think of home needs, one of the most renowned companies comes to mind, and it is with the Swedish company, IKEA, which delivers on many home needs and tech for all.

That being said, one of the earliest products to support Matter and its smart home integration is IKEA's DIRIGERA, a hub that will connect all devices and enable control using the home app. It is a one-stop shop with a device that rules all technologies present in one's home, soon coming by November at an affordable price.
