Faraday Future has an update on its long-anticipated first electric vehicle, the FF91 Futurist.

Avid enthusiasts of the electric vehicle industry are likely to be familiar with the startup Faraday Future. The company is an electric vehicle startup based in California that was formed in 2014 and has yet to launch its first EV officially.

Since Faraday Future was established, the industry has witnessed dozens, and dozens of EV businesses emerge, falter, and vanish into the void of irrelevance. However, the business is still fighting to produce as it enters its ninth year of putting its very first electric vehicle into production, according to Electrek.

In February, Carscoops reported the first glimpse of the FF91 Futurist in action. Initially, Faraday Future had planned to start car deliveries in the fourth quarter of this year. Now, the company's first electric vehicle may be on its way to production very soon, but with a few roadblocks.

Faraday Future FF91 Futurist Latest Update

Faraday Future is on schedule to start production at its "FF ieFactory California" in late March 2023, with the first customer deliveries occurring in April, according to their official press release issued.

"The management team at FF is committed to executing the next milestones and I'm energized by the commitment of the team. We will utilize our capital in a disciplined manner that is focused on bringing the best product to market," said Global Chief Executive Officer of Faraday Future Xuefeng "XF" Chen.

However, in order to commence FF91 Futurist production in March, Faraday Future needs $150 to 170 million more in funding. As of writing, a draft of a $30 million binding letter of intent has so far been provided to the electric vehicle firm by an existing investor, but it still needs board approval and certain conditions, including the negotiation and execution of definitive documentation.

Fortunately, according to Yahoo, the company has reported the completion of its sixth milestone, which is construction and equipment installation in car assembly areas. This completes six of the seven benchmarks that FF set out late in 2021 to recognize its manufacturing accomplishments leading up to the start of production of the FF 91 Futurist.
