Razer's CES 2023 showcase earlier brought the gaming world some good news, and it is because it finally addressed the release date for its upcoming Android handheld gaming pad, the Edge. The company unveiled the gaming device that resembles a phablet, with the detachable Razer Kishi V2 Pro controllers, last October 2022.

This announcement by Razer confirms a long-awaited portable gaming device, in partnership with Verizon, with the latest console available from both companies. 

Razer Edge Android Handheld Releasing Soon

The recent announcements from Razer earlier in CES 2023 focused on its new products coming to all, and among its releases was the Razer Edge and Edge 5G coming soon this year. It was first unveiled last year in partnership with Verizon and is now confirmed for a 2023 release date for this month of January. 

Razer Edge features a 6.8-inch screen, and it borders as a large smartphone or a small tablet, making it a hybrid device known as a "phablet." Additionally, its connectivity to 5G further puts it in that category, also sporting an Android operating system.

The Razer Edge is priced at $399 for the WiFi version and is available at the Razer store, both online and retail locations. On the other hand, the Razed Edge 5G is exclusively available via Verizon by January 26.

Razer and Verizon's Partnership

The company's collaboration centers on the Kishi V2 Pro-equipped Razer Edge gaming pad with its connectivity to the Verizon 5G Ultra Wideband technology. The device's processors also use the Snapdragon G3x Gen 1 Gaming Platform for its computing power for the massive library available to gamers. 

Moreover, Verizon also shares its Two-way speakers with Verizon Adaptive Sound. It features an onboard 8GB memory, a 5,000 mAh battery, and 128 GB of internal storage.

Razer's Gaming Focus

There is a massive success that Razer found in the gaming community and it is a staple name among eSports competitions and gamers for its many peripherals and accessories it offers. It provides devices that gamers may use to expand more of their gaming experience, like its famous gaming mice and keyboards to start. 

Gamers may experience premium gaming with its many accessories available online and in retail stores, to complete their setup down to wireless gaming headsets and PCs. 

The company even went as far as to deliver smart home items and accessories to decorate the house and complete it with a gaming theme with its Chrome RGB items.

Razer is not only a gaming accessories provider in the present, with the American-Singaporean company already growing as a multi-national conglomerate for the full gaming experience. With the new Razer Edge and Edge 5G, the company now allows everyone to tap the mobile gaming experience that offers thousands of games available via the cloud.
